I am truly humbled and filled with immense gratitude to be nominated for 2020 Hats Off Nonprofit Award as “ Nonprofit Executive Of The Year “, and Furr Friends has been nominated as the “Nonprofit Of The Year' and 'Community Collaborator of the Year' for our relationship with the Renewal Coalition through our Shelter to Service Dog Program. Thank you Nonprofits First!

2020 has been a year of triumph and heartache having achieved my dream to build a new, cutting edge facility for Furry Friends but unable to share it with our community due to the pandemic. As I was leading Furry Friends through these incredibly difficult times, I lost my best friend, mentor and long term chairman of the board Herb Baum followed by the sudden death of my husband, Bob who stood by my side for 27 years. These two men were my pillars of strength and I can still feel their presence. I share this nomination with them, my inspirational fellow nominees and with my entire Furry Friends Family. While this has been the most challenging year in my life, win or no win I am so appreciative of this honor. Thank you to all of my friends and supporters for without your help and support none of this would be possible.
